Kitten Jam: Who is Josué?

Josué: Josué Is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, musician specializing in soul music.

KJ: What does your music stand for? How would you describe it?

J: My music stands for my experiences and those that connect with those experiences. I would say my music is somewhere between jazz and Earth Wind and Fire.

KJ: You are about to release your debut EP, Bad News, can you tell us the story behind the name?

J:  “Bad News” is a song on the record that describes the moments in which a confrontation will take place. I went through a few deep moments in my life with my family so this song describes one of those moments.

KJ: How long did the writing and recording process take for the EP?

J:  It took a lot longer than expected. Myself and Co-Producer/Engineer Dave Truong Have been friends for many years. He’s the one that put the idea forward to make this record. That was nearly 3 and a half years ago so there were many song changes in that time as I began to find my sound. Most of the songs had already been written a while back. Click page number below to continue reading interview >>
